Easter is almost here and I have finally put the finishing touches on my holiday tablescape! This year
I
wanted soft colors and natural elements for lots of texture with a relatively simple look.
I was inspired by this tablescape from
Pottery Barn, but I wanted a much less cluttered feel…and I needed it to be much less expensive, too!
I started playing with the idea back in early March and shared my hunt for elements that would allow me to
get the Pottery Barn look for less. You can get all the details, including my sources and price comparisons, by clicking

And here is the look that I finally settled on…with just a few changes from the original.
I removed a few of the layers for a simpler look, substituting Pier 1 lace doily plates for the original aqua dessert plates. I think I like the clean look of more white with just pops of color.
You may remember that I was on the hunt for Pottery Barn copy-cat bunny egg cups and had managed to find only two at Walmart. I needed four and had searched every store within driving distance when it dawned on me…just get two in the other colors and spray paint them white!
Well…of course! So I did!
You may have noticed that the Pottery Barn version has a cake plate with burlap-wrapped gifts on top and I liked that idea.
Soooo…I pulled out my cake plate and added my little
no-sew burlap bunny treat bags.
It makes a fun presentation for the little goodie bags that I created for my grandsons!
Each one is labeled with a paint chip Easter egg name tag and filled with their favorite treats. And best of all…
no sewing was required! You can get all the details

Remember the
Pottery Barn inspired burlap-wrapped vases that I created? I filled them with faux white tulips...on sale at Michaels...and placed them down the center of the table
And here it is…my Pottery Barn inspired Easter tablescape! I love the simple look of the aqua, white and burlap!
In fact, those are the elements that I have used for most of my projects this Easter. And…I have had lots of fun making most of them
no-sew as well! The cute bunny ear napkin rings, burlap bunny silverware pouches and egg cozies will go on the Easter breakfast table. Here are the links in case you would like to check them out…
As for my co-host, Miss Kitty seems more interested in checking out a flock of birds at the backyard feeder than the tablescape! It’s that time of year!

I don’t know about you, but I am starting to think about Easter since it’s only a few weeks away! And for me, that means it’s time to add a few spring-y touches around the house. One of my favorite ways to do that is with eggs…wonderfully small symbols of something so much bigger! So today I am sharing my six favorite ways to decorate with…you guessed it!…eggs!

We have been having some beautiful days here in Georgia and the flowering trees are in full bloom... all signs of an early spring! I am beginning to have the urge to add a little bit of it to my décor as well and nothing says spring to me more than nests! Sooo...I am sharing five ways to add them to your home.
Can you believe Easter is only a week away? The Easter Bunny got a little late start at my house, but the mantel is finally ready…and just in time! Since the grands and their mom are living at my house now, I wanted to make it extra-special this year. So what better theme is there than bunnies and eggs!

Aren’t they cute? I couldn’t believe how easy they were to make…just a few minutes for each one!

And…taaa daaa!…here he is! Isn’t he cute? I love the little festive touch that he adds to the table! They will be a fun surprise for my guests at Easter brunch…and they may take them home with them, too! 
And here’s how it looks from the back…love it! I think this is the cutest, easiest and least expensive bang for my buck that I have ever gotten! The felt was only 29 cents for each cozy and I already had everything else.
Our CEO Miss Ozzie is not much impressed, however. She would rather enjoy the afternoon sun. It’s not a real bunny after all, she says. So what’s the big deal? 
But I love them…so I am giving you one final look. And now Here Comes Peter Cottontail is playing non-stop in my brain! lol 
And, speaking of cottontails, here's a final look at the view from the back! I think the yellow is my favorite because…
…he reminds me of a Peeps bunny. In fact, they all remind me of the Peeps Mason jar candle that I made last year!
