Five Favorite Christmas Tablescapes

One of my favorite things about Christmas is creating a tablescape to celebrate the holidays! And I have discovered something about myself...I love lots of greenery, lots of texture and lots of traditional red and green! Always a good start for me...basic white plates. Then I just add some rustic touches and some sparkle and I'm all set!

My STARRY BURLAP AND PLAID TABLESCAPE ranks high on my favorites list! It even made it into the pages of Country Sampler magazine! :-) Stars are sprinkled throughout...on the place settings, in the greenery...

...and in a star-shaped wreath surrounding a rustic lantern as the "star" of the tablescape!

Another favorite is my PEWTER AND PLAID TABLESCAPE with lots of  texture for a rustic feel...

...chunky pewter flatware and a fun Christmas tree napkin fold to top it off!

My EVERGREENS AND BURLAP TABLESCAPE shares an interesting contrast between rustic and refined with a drop cloth tablecloth and burlap runner...

...topped by crystal goblets and vintage silver flatware. The dramatic contrast adds interest, don't you think?

My FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS TABLESCAPE also has lots of texture with grapevine wreaths as chargers and a fun flea market find...an old toolbox that I filled with greens...

...and candles wrapped in vintage strapping to create a centerpiece.

Here's on that the little grands love...my SNOWMAN TABLESCAPE with a stovepipe hat as a centerpiece...

...and candy eyes and buttons and, of course, a carrot nose! The utensils serve as arms and the napkin as a scarf! I also created two red burlap scarves to serve as table runners.

And stay tuned! This year's tablescape is finished and about to be revealed!
