Weight Watchers Chicken Pot Pie
I don't know about you but I am finding myself doing a lot more cooking while we are all sheltering at home. I made one of my favorites last night, so I thought I would share the recipe with you…Weight Watchers Chicken, Cheese and Biscuits. It’s a different, lighter sort of chicken pot pie using lower calorie broccoli and carrots instead of potatoes and peas. It’s actually from one of the older Weight Watchers cookbooks as are many of my tried and true recipes.

I am so excited because I have a wonderful giveaway for you, my readers! I am happy to be able to offer you a chance to win a copy of the beautiful new book Monet's Palate Cookbook: The Artist & His Kitchen Garden at Giverny signed by author and filmmaker Aileen Bordman and featuring a forward by Meryl Streep. If you know me, you know what an important place Monet's home and gardens hold in my heart since a visit there was the central reason that I took my then ten-year-old grandson to France. So that makes this book especially meaningful to me!

DIY Sharpie Plate and the Perfect Little Valentine Gift
Here’s what you will need:
- Plain white mugs and/or plates (Mine were Better Homes brand from Walmart. It seems that the cheaper ones do better.)
- Sharpie fine point oil-based markers (I got mine at Michaels. You will want to use a coupon since they are more expensive than regular Sharpies.) From what I have read, oil-based markers create a longer-lasting result.
- Alcohol swabs ( I used them to erase my mistakes, so I used lots of them!)
- Clean the plate with an alcohol swab.
- Using the oil-based Sharpie marker, add your artwork or text. Good news! If you make a boo boo, you can use an alcohol swab to “erase” it and start over! Just be sure to wring it out first so that it doesn’t drip and ruin your hard work!
- Let them dry for 24 hours.
- Place the mugs in a cold oven and heat to 425 degrees. Once the correct temperature is reached, bake for 30 minutes. Do not touch the hot mugs!
- Allow them to stay in the oven until completely cool! They will now be safe to wash by hand. (I personally would not wash them in the dishwasher.)
