A Country French New Year

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT A Country French New Year It’s almost New Year’s Eve and the end of another year. Our plans are small but we will still be celebrating! There will be no elaborate dinner...just immediate family. Sooo... I decided to share my New Year's tablescape from several years ago instead. It's one of my favorite posts from my Country French design series and it definitely has a French accent! It's rustic and simple and stars lots of texture with a generous helping of frenchiness!

And I have discovered something about myself...I love lots of greenery, lots of texture and lots of traditional red and green! Always a good start for me...basic white plates. Then I just add some rustic touches and some sparkle and I'm all set!

Easy Magnolia Inspired Charcuterie Serving Board

With the holidays ahead (and perhaps a few small gatherings in my future) I have been eyeing the beautiful charcuterie boards filled with artfully arranged snacks. Sooo...I think it's time to pull out the serving board that I created and used as a centerpiece last year! I had spotted Joanna Gaines' farmhouse version at Magnolia Market and was immediately smitten. My problem...the size that I needed was very expensive at $88. :-( But I knew that even though I have zero woodworking skills, I was going to have to attempt to make it!
