Thrifty Summer Projects from The Scoop #74 and a Frenchy Dinnerware Giveaway

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Thrifty Summer ProjectsI am really enjoying being the new host at The Scoop! It gives me a chance to check out all of your wonderfully creative ideas, recipes and projects. If you hurry, you can still get in on this week's fun! I have been amazed at all of the fabulous summer projects you have created…on a dime! And if you know me, you know I am all about being thrifty! Here are just a few that caught my eye!

caddy-1 I love this great little wooden caddy from Confessions of a Serial Do-It-Yourselfer! Gotta love the distressed frenchy graphic! It has another side, too, that you should check out!

IMG_9461Carlene at Organized Clutter never ceases to amaze me with her creativity! Just look at what she made with some old forks and garden faucet handles…unique “flowers” for her garden!

DSC_0181 Don’t you love this vintage map bunting that Solitary Moments made for her soon-to-be born granddaughter’s room? The map has special meaning for her, too. Be sure to head over and read all about it!

fish-starfish garland4 And here’s another idea for bunting from Remodelando la Casa…a summery starfish garland made from a bargain buy and some surprising additions!

DSC01289Don’t you love the way Babs at Upstairs Downstairs added stripes to dress up a box that she already had on hand? Elegant!

IMG_1947_2I love this summery ocean-look painting from Highpoint Circle! She saved money by simply painting over and repurposing an ugly canvas!

message-5Here’s another one from Confessions of a Serial Do-It-Yourselfer who seems to be on a roll for inexpensive summer projects…a cute message board made from a $2.00 yard sale frame!

utensil potsThis is a fun and inexpensive project if you are doing some entertaining this summer…cute terra cotta utensil pots from Sowdering About in Seattle!

nautical-tin-can-organizer-perfect-for-our-nightstand-768x1024 Aren’t these so summery? Love these nautical organizers from Shaken Together Life! Can you believe what they are made of?

domesp6 Isn’t this unique? Lavender Garden Cottage combined a silverplate stand and an old cheese dome to create this lovely display!

top of shell knob dresserQuirky Vistas turned a curbside rescue into this fabulous beachy dresser with unique seashell pulls! Love it!

sandaltut15-1024x781I love flip flops and I am not a big fan of regular slippers so these flip flop slippers from Windsor & Main were calling my name!

IMG_1705These wonderful accent pieces on the hearth from One More Time Events are actually made from old lamps…so creative!

June Planter Idea 8This is just one of the many great ideas for decorating with old galvanized items from Little Brags…an old tub framing a summery plant!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Sheet Music SailboatsAnd finally…I am sneaking in a fun and inexpensive summery project of my own…these sheet music sail boats that cost absolutely nothing! You will find a link to an easy tutorial by clicking here. You can’t beat free!
