I am so excited! Not only do I have a tablescape with rustic French country accents to show you…but I am also announcing a terrific giveaway of fabulous Pfattzgraff dinnerware! I love being able to thank my readers with such a wonderful opportunity! But first…let me share the tablescape with you!
For this, you must pretend that you are here…in this ancient farmhouse dating from the 1700s in Provence! It served as our headquarters during my retirement trip to France several years ago and has become the benchmark for Provençal homes in my mind!
Are you pretending? I have even transformed my hutch with all blue and white for the occasion!
And to help create a rustic French country atmosphere…a collection of Pfaltzgraff Heritage dinnerware…a service for eight…so generously provided by the folks at Lifetime Brands for me to review. Nothing says French country to me like classic white stoneware! I especially like this pattern with its multi-faceted design!
It contrasts nicely with my favorite colors…blue and yellow…and serves as the perfect complement to my pewter flatware!
I love the subtle shape of the bowls and plates and their wonderful luminescent glaze!
Don’t they make a lovely tablescape…the wonderful white dinnerware mixed with my favorite blue and white pieces…so frenchy!…
…and my vintage ironstone soup tureen as the center piece!
On the buffet, additional bowls and mugs wait for dessert to be served.
Can you see why I love these pieces…absolutely perfect with my pewter flatware…and, in case you haven’t noticed, I seem to have a thing about that shape…from the bowls and mugs…
…to the dinner plates…
…to the salad plates…I love them all! And they are special for another reason…this is the 200th Anniversary of the Pfaltzgraff company and they are celebrating with a special anniversary edition of their Heritage dinnerware!
And, of course, I must say that the mugs are the perfect match for my vintage ironstone coffee set…not only in their shape, but in their color as well! Love it!
See how the dinnerware just glows in the light? Add my cow creamer and my faux grain sack table runner and I feel like I am back in Provence! Ahhh!
I do believe even Miss Kitty is daydreaming of Provence!
Now all I need is a crusty baguette along with some pâté and my favorite… Roquefort cheese! What else can I say…a big thumbs up for Pfalttzgraff's very versatile and oh-so-classic Heritage dinnerware!
And now for the the really fun part…the giveaway! I am excited to be able to offer my readers this fabulous opportunity as a way of saying thank you! The wonderful people at Lifetime Brands are providing eight place settings of one of Pfaltzgraff’s newest patterns…Lido Beach…to one of my readers! It is the quintessential summer dinnerware pattern, bringing the beach to your table with its raised sea shells around the edge…lovely! Here’s all you have to do and you can do one or all five…whatever you wish!
1. Leave a comment about this post.
2. Leave an additional comment telling me that you are a follower or subscriber.
3. and 4. Like Confessions of a Plate Addict on Facebook (here) or Pfaltzgraff Dinnerware (here) and tell me in another comment...or two if you like both of us!

That’s five ways to win! Simple, huh? The giveaway will end on Saturday, July 16 at 7:00 pm Eastern Daylight time. The winner will be chosen at random. Be sure to leave an email address or contact if you do not have a blog so that I may let you know if you win! Bonne chance! Good luck!

ReplyDeleteDebbie, your table takes me back to wonderful memories of my own time in Provence. I love the details of the Heritage Pfaltzgraff pieces, but I'm really taken with the pewter flatware. Can you share the details on it? It doesn't look like a mix of pewter and stainless. The Lido Beach is also a beautiful pattern. Pfaltzgraff has a number of patterns that I admire. I'd be thrilled to have a set of these dishes in our cupboards. ;-) Thanks for the chance! ~ Sarah

Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! I love all things French! I just redecorated my dining room and I'm using Blue Willow for my inspiration. The Pfaltzgraff dinnerware would be perfect with them. But now that I think about it, the Blue Willow pattern is Chinese and Pfaltzgraff was once a German company (but is now in York Co. Pennsylvania) and yet the dishes look fantastic in a French setting.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and get excited everytime you post something new.
And ... I "liked" you on Facebook, although when you find you've been "liked" by a sweet spaniel named Dion DiPoochy -- that's me.
ReplyDeleteReally. I'm my dog's opposable thumbs.

And -- I am hitting most of the bases now -- see how much I want these plates for the beach house? I have liked Pfaltzgraff on Facebook too ... again, as Dion DiPoochy.
ReplyDeleteReally -- I need my own Facebook page, don't I?
Cass
Such a beautiful table! Nothing is prettier, and more fresh, than blue and white! Ad that pop of yello and wow! The dishes are a classic for sure and can be paried with anything!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sue
