This is a before and after that I can't take a lot of credit for! Well...maybe the before! This is my patio and backyard as it looks in the summer. That's my grandson's flower garden in the pots in the corner of the patio. He chooses the flowers and takes care of them when he's at my house. I added the tumbled pavers to edge the patio. It's my favorite place to drink my morning coffee in the summer...but...
...this is my patio after we had SNOW today!! OK...I know you snow bunnies are all laughing, but this is a big deal down here in Georgia!!! And this is a LOT of snow for us! It has snowed since late this morning...snowflakes as big as quarters...sometimes half dollars...if you remember those! lol And it has snowed all day long!
Doesn't my birdfeeder look pretty in the snow? Yes, I do see that it is is almost empty. Don't worry...after I took the photo, I filled it up and some cardinals came by immediately! Here are a few more photos...
The Georgia bloggers and friends luncheon is still on. I'm about an hour away and it seems that the snow is not so heavy there. Let's all hope I can get there!! I don't want to miss it so I may have to hire a horse and sleigh! lol I just had to share this. My fellow Southerners will understand! Don't forget to drop by Susan's to see some real before and after projects!!
~WOWEE~ Debbie that is awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks soooo pretty! :)
LOL Deb,
ReplyDeleteYour right Debbie, us Northerners are having a bit of a chuckle! Check out my yesterday post on snow too if you have a chance. I love your patio in summer, there are a lot of beautiful pots of flowers there! Cindy
Oh, Debbie, that does look like a lot of snow. I know how much you really didn't want it to snow right now. I do hope and pray tomorrow the roads are clear for the luncheon. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie I am laughing about your snow...I have seen pixs all over blogland today about snow..Girl I can get a foot a night and I live in Sunny Ca..You are too funny...great pixs and hope you have a great lunch tomorrow..hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty while it was here. Pretty much the snow is gone from this part of western Georgia. The roads are OK here...so I will be at the lunch. This post was TOO CUTE! WHAT a Metamorphosis!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great transformation. If I'd just stayed a little longer, we could've gone to Susan's and made snowcream! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, WoW! What fun! My niece was driving from No. Carolina back home to Florida today but somehow managed to miss the snow. Thanks for sharing the pictures and did you realize that there are snowflakes falling on your blog!!! :) Bonnie
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Debbie! The birdhouse is awesome!...Christine
ReplyDeleteLove this Before and After! :-) This is a big deal for us here in GA! :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe all that snow. Laurie got alot too. She's in Arkansas, but I believe she lives in the east, I'm in the west and we got some flurries yesterday. It's supposed to be in the high 70s most of next week... yeah! Your patio is pretty covered in snow, but really pretty in the summer! Hope it warms up soon! Kristen
ReplyDeleteMy patio looks just like yours! I'm more than ready for Spring flowers...how about you?
ReplyDeleteKathy
Your pictures are so pretty, and everything looks so soft and quiet. But I really have to say, please keep it there! Hope it doesn't spoil your luncheon plans, hugs, Kathy
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of snow to me! Be careful driving to the luncheon. I was too far east to get any this time, but we had plenty of rain all weekend long. :( Now it is just overcast and windy with thunder. :D Jewel
ReplyDeleteIt's such a beautiful snow, too, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteI love the makeover.
No snow for us in South Texas! so guess I'll just enjoy the Georgia snow... so pretty. Dixie
ReplyDeleteDebbie we have the same designer working for us both today :)
ReplyDeleteEven though we get plenty of snow in my part of the country, I am always awe struck when I see winter wonderland pictures. I especially love the snow topped bird feeder.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this day with fellow bloggers!
Donna
Debbie, neat transformation! Just don't send it to Florida!!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
The snow is beautiful. We only got a dusting here in Kentucky. I know some places in the South got over 10 inches! It is definitely a big deal. I love your patio and the flowers though :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie, you are the ultimate blogger. The pictures, the snow, the music...you are so good, the total package, girl! You know how I've whined about our horrible saskatchewan weather this winter with way too much of that white stuff and bitter cold temperatures but I have to say,the amount of snow you got in one dump is alot of snow, even too me.I hope this doesn't mess up your plans today. When temperatures hover around the freezing point it is even worse than when it is really cold because nothing is scarier than driving when it's freezing rain. Now get out there and make a snow angel.Love ya,Cyndi
ReplyDeleteI can see the Master Decorator handled both your before and after. They both have a place in the overall decorating plan. Just hope we are headed a little more toward the before version by the time of the luncheon.
ReplyDeletePlease, please be wary of what may look like just a wet road. It very well might be "black ice" which is extremely treacherous. We turned from rain to snow in mid afternoon yesterday, so the ground was too wet for as large an accumulation as you had. Most has melted now in the gorgeous sunny day we are having here. Hopefully the same will happen for you, so that your luncheon may proceed without incident and the only snow you see falling is on your blog.
How did you get snow on your Blog!!! So cute! We got it here too in Elvis town! Caused some traffic problems but mostly just pretty! The snow's pretty...it's the ice we normally get that is so dangerous and destructive! God Bless! Lauralu :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow! We are tired of it here up north. Spring...hurry up!
ReplyDelete~Michelle
The snow does look beautiful covering everything. Be careful on your way to the luncheon. I hope you all take some good pictures for the rest of us to enjoy. Have fun. Maryrose
ReplyDeleteMornin' Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteOhhh my...you have snow!!! It's certainly beautiful!!! It's so funny because all this week we are supposed to be in the 60's and close to 70...kind of an oddity for Colorful Colorado! And I see that most of the warmer-winter, southern states are getting snow...how very strange!
I love your backyard patio and what a sweet idea to have flowers for your Grandson to take care of! Those are the memories that Grandma's are made of!
Well Sweetie...I hope that you have a marvelous time at your Get-together today...I can't wait to hear all about it! Drive safe!!!
Love ya,
Chari
Hi Debbie, what a beautiful snowfall! I sure do like looking at in in your yard more than in my yard. We missed this storm here in St. Louis, thank goodness. Have fun today! We can't wait to hear all about it. jeanette
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie you have a beautiful patio and love those grandson pots! My Mari has some at her house, she loves checking on them every day to see how much they have grown.. Sure hope you have a wonderful time today and that the weather makes for good traveling...Can't wait to see pictures of all of you bloggers together, how fun! Love, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie...Yay, snow...it is so pretty especially when here in the South it is an event. Great pictures! ;-) Bo
ReplyDeleteDebbie, We had those same great big snowflakes here in Alabama yesterday! But by 3PM they were all gone and the sun was shinning bright. Just about long enough for a snow storm for me but it was really special while it lasted. Hope your Georgia bloggers meeting is loads of fun today. Can't wait to hear about it. Sharon
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteLove your music and the snow on your blog. Very nice pics. of your patio too. It is raining cats and dogs here in CA. Your snow sounds heavenly to someone who doesn't have to shovel it. (We lived back east for several years.) Stay warm and have fun today!
Woo Hooness! Look at your beautiful snow! You be careful driving and have a fun time.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)

ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I'm so excited for your snow! And I love your porch! I hope you had the bestest time today...can't wait to see the pics!! Love ya! L~
ReplyDeleteI live in California, so it's sunny skies out here, but last night I had snow drenched dreams. I guess because I've been visiting so many blogs and looked at so many wonderful pictures of snow. Your patio is beautiful summer or winter, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, what a great idea to have the flowering pots for your grandson to take care of. I bet he just loves coming to visit you and his flowers! I can't wait to see pictures of the luncheon. Surely, you'll be able to get there. After starting this whole thing up, you've got to be there! I know ya'll will have a great time! laurie
ReplyDeleteLovely choice for today's Met Monday! Sorry for the late visit; too many errands...
