6 Ways to Decorate with Eggs

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT 6 Ways to Decorate with Eggs2I don’t know about you, but I am starting to think about Easter since it’s only a few weeks away! And for me, that means it’s time to add a few spring-y touches around the house. One of my favorite ways to do that is with eggs…wonderfully small symbols of something so much bigger! So today I am sharing my six favorite ways to decorate with…you guessed it!…eggs!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Spring Porch1. START ON THE PORCH
With all of the wonderful faux eggs that are available now, it’s great fun to use them as a part of your spring porch decorations. Why not place them in a basket for a welcoming FARMHOUSE SPRING PORCH? You will have your guests wondering whether or not they are real!

Spring just says bird nests to me, so I love adding them wherever I can! My BURLAP AND DOGWOOD SPRING WREATH stars a little nest of sparkly yellow eggs…perfect!

CONFESSION OF A PLATE ADDICT Easter Bunny Centerpiece3. LET THEM STAR IN YOUR CENTERPIECE
A centerpiece doesn’t have to be difficult to put together! Just add a few seasonal items to a basket or tray and…voilà! This SIMPLE EASTER CENTERPIECE includes a purchased basket already filled with eggs…easy peasy! And my easy-to-make NO-SEW FELT CARROTS add the perfect finishing touch!

More eggs in pretty pastel shades help pull together a tablescape by echoing the colors of your dinnerware or your napkins. In my POTTERY BARN INSPIRED EASTER  TABLESCAPE, I used inexpensive $2.00 ramkins to serve as little nests, compared to the $10.50 Pottery Barn versions…just one of my ideas for GETTING THE POTTERY BARN LOOK FOR LESS

  1. These decorations are beautiful!! Some time ago I also decorated the house...then it all had to be put away and I stopped (lol) Now I limit myself to decorating the front door by placing an over the door with peach branches and flying swallows. Less demanding because it is already complete in bulk, and I leave it for the entire time that spring lasts. Then the season changes. Quick and painless (lol lol)
