1. Trim your stockings with plaid
I love this combination of two of my favorite fabrics for the holidays…burlap and plaid! I’ve even given you all the details for making your own cuffed stockings. You can find them HERE.
2. Add it to a wreath
It’s super easy to make these PLAID FABRIC ROSES and add them to your wreath. Check out the tutorial for the instructions for the PINE CONE ROSES as well.
3. Use a plaid tablecloth
Nothing anchors your Christmas tablescape better than plaid! Be sure to head over to get a closer look at my PEWTER AND PLAID CHRISTMAS TABLESCAPE. It even includes a link for this fun Christmas tree napkin fold!
4. Add a plaid ribbon to your runner

5. Use plaid ribbon or wrapping paper
Here’s a super easy way to add some Christmas-y plaid! I love the way plaid ribbon looks with simple Kraft paper…so rustic yet festive!
6. Add plaid napkins to your table
These napkins serve an additional purpose…wind-blown scarves for my FUN AND EASY SNOWMAN TABLESCAPE! The little grands loved this one!
7. Make a pillow from a plaid jacket
Just a few snips and stitches transform an old jacket into a fun PLAID CHRISTMAS PILLOW! Just hit the thrift store for lots of inspiration!
8. Cover letters with wrapping paper
Paper mâché letters get a Christmas-y make-over courtesy of plaid wrapping paper and Mod Podge. I’ll be sharing the tutorial in a few days so stay tuned!
