Among my favorites are these very budget-friendly but realistic-looking monogrammed vintage French tea towels…made from bargain IKEA tea towels for under $1.00 each! And they are super easy! You don’t even have to be able to cross-stitch or sew to make these! I tweaked an image from The Graphics Fairy to accomplish the monogram.
Here are some more that are super easy and inexpensive…my vintage French tea towels…also coming in at $1.00 each. They are made from...guess what...flour sack towels from Target....with another tweaked image from Karen at The Graphics Fairy!
I love the wonderful hydrangea prints on these tea towels…so fresh and summery! Once again, these are inexpensive, easy and require no sewing courtesy of Target and The Graphics Fairy!
Gotta love these…Wisteria inspired hand towels…made of fabulous nubby linen with a raveled edge for a really rustic vintage look! I like to use them as very generous napkins, too.
I think this is one of my favorite projects ever…my vintage French silverware sleeve! I used inexpensive user-friendly Osnaburg fabric for these for a linen look without the price! There are pockets for holding the silverware…labeled in French, of course…and even a pocket for the napkin!
And I love the way it looks folded on the plate! I tied it up with jute twine for a rustic touch. Doesn’t it look like you are sitting down for supper in an old French farmhouse?
And finally…for another farmhouse touch…a faux grain sack table runner to finish off your table!
Just layer them on for a really rustic feel! One of these days I will have another chance to head out to the brocante, but in the meantime, I am happy with my own “vintage” creations!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my homemade “vintage” French linens! Please visit these wonderful bloggers and their beautiful blogs to see what they are up to and to find a list of this week’s participants!

All your table linens are so pretty, Debbie. I keep thinking I'll make some for myself- the ruffled linen towels are my faves. :)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty! You always amaze me! Who would have thought and Ikea towel could become a French tea towel? Love them all!
ReplyDeleteWow so many to choose from....I love them all! I think my favorite e ones are the linen looking ones that have ruffles on the end and I love that you can use them as oversized napkins! Brilliant ideas. Come link up to centerpiece Wed.

Stunning, every single one. MY fave is your rustic edge napkin. Of course, I love old linens too (I sell them in my shop, wildoakdesigns.etsy.com), but yours are inspirational to say the least. thanks

Thank you so much for this round up of wonderful table linens--I've been obsessing about table linens lately, so I am definitely pinning and will try some of these! Also very helpful to know where you purchased the inexpensive napkins--Dollar Tree used to sell flour sack towels, but no longer carry them where I live, so I will check out some of your other sources.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, absolutely gorgeous! I'm pinning, I really have to try these. I plan on redoing my kitchen with a vintage French theme so these will fit in perfectly! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDebbie :)
Love the Wisteria Hand Towles! Visiting from Stonegable.
ReplyDeleteLove the romantic vintage feel to all your linens. The faux grain sack table runner is the icing on the cake. It's all just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
Suzanne
These are beautiful and something even I might be able to do! You have a new follower in me.

New follower here...I'm bookmarking this one! These are so elegant and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI can see that you and my daughter have very similar taste when it comes to the French country look. Like you, she loves to browse the antique markets in France which have inspired many a DIY project. With the look so popular these days, it's easy to find things to make into your own.
ReplyDeleteA kindred spirit! I also love repurposing vintage linens - I love your ideas/designs! There's nothing like giving new life to old, or bringing some old charm to new! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeletebravo, debbie. these are such creative frugal finds!
ReplyDeletepopping over via frenchcountrycottage and hope you'll stop by when you have a moment.
smiles to you and happy weekend.
michele
I love all things french too! These are such a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing. Have a great weekend!
