As much as I love Goodwill hunting, which is always hit or miss, I have to admit that each outing with my friend Linda at Nina’s Nest also includes a stop by my favorite antique mall...the Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta, Georgia...for some guaranteed frenchiness and eye candy! Sooo...I'd like to share some of my current favorites with you! Gotta love this fabulously frenchy mirrored chest! Sigh!
And this lovely urn…fabulous color and detail!
On my list of things I want to own one day…an antique bone-handled carving set. This one is missing the sharpener, but I love it!
I have to stop and study this vignette each time…old paint brushes in an interesting deer head urn. Hmmm…didn’t I just throw out some old brushes because I thought they were trash? Darn!
Too bad because I already have a deer head pedestal bowl that would be perfect! Maybe I need to paint a few rooms and do a poor job of cleaning the brushes!
I love this pair of topiaries…unusual…and the painting behind them…perfect!
And I have to stop and visit this old mechanical toy with a cow being milked…cute!
This gives me a little Christmas inspiration! Note to self…check the Dollar Tree for little birds.
Love this hutch and all the blue and white! This dealer always has some wonderfully frenchy stuff!
What a fun idea for a way to decorate a pillar candle!
These little cherub candlesticks are cute…
…but Baby kitty is thinking they look familiar…
…because I have a similar one…painted white and distressed.
Another favorite for me is this frenchy straw hat…
…that always makes me think of this painting…Le Déjeuner by Claude Monet. See the hat…hanging from the tree?
And I guess I must have a thing about cows because these wrapped soaps stop me every time.
Sooo…I decided to try my own version. Love this…a fun and inexpensive way to dress up the extra soap in your guest bathroom! Just wrap the soap in Kraft paper and add a vintage cow graphic then tie with jute twine…practically free!
And a final favorite…wowsers! I have shown you this before…but just in case you haven’t seen it…hang on!
Whew! That’s quite a ride! How can you top that? I don’t think I can, so I will leave you with that! What did I leave with...a lamp that I will show you later! But now if you will excuse me, I think I will go back spend a little virtual money and enjoy the frenchy eye candy again! Feel free to spend yours, too!

ReplyDeleteWas that transferware heaven?
ReplyDeleteGreat tour Debbie!
ReplyDeleteI love the final pics with all the transferware, amazing!
And those little cow soaps that you made are just the cutest ever!
I always love your versions best!
Wow! What a place! I love it and those last two shots with all the china are just breath-taking- LOVE it! xo Diana
ReplyDeletePlease tell Me this store is in southern CA.The shelves of transferware is a dream.
ReplyDeleteWow! Transferware heaven, Debbie! I don't think I ever come across transferware when I'm out and about. Either its hidden well or I'm just not looking close enough, but I've never seen a booth with anything like this. Love that hutch with the blue and white ~ that would make me think of you if I saw it. Always great places to visit for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDebbie thanks for the tour. Now what did you come home with? I know I would have purchased some of the red and white transferware....
ReplyDeleteThe last pictures almost made my heart stop! Wow!
ReplyDeleteUnreal. I did a little shopping yesterday, but nothing like this. So much to see and so much eye candy. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI had to catch my breath when we got to the photo of all the dishes!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!!!
wow, did someone drop me off in transferware Heaven? I have to laugh at the Peanuts lunch box hanging out with all the fabulous brown transferware. What a great place!!
ReplyDeleteWhere were you so I can go there? Love your soaps too. Thanks for your lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great virtual trip! I just found a set of 8 bone handled French knives, but they were waaay expensive. I also have a thing for cow and sheep engravings! Looking forward to the Christmas in July par-tay!
ReplyDeleteAll that transferware! I.AM.DEAD.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I have never seen that much transferware in one place. That was like bingeing on chocolate. LOVE all of it. Thanks for the virtual spending spree.
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie what a fabulous place! Thanx for taking us along. I like those cow soaps too. Please do tell me which shop this is so I can put it on my list of places to go when at the in laws!
ReplyDeleteThat transferware display is awesome!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I always like to go along when you and Linda are out shopping the fleas and antique stores. Your photos are making me long for a little real life excursion here in town. We don't have the same resources, but guess I'll make do. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the fun.......Sarah
That Transferware place is to die for!! I'd be in SUCH big trouble there! Thanks for those great pics!
ReplyDeleteOh my, you never fail to inspire me. Love that room with the dishes, wow. And I MUST do the cow soaps. I mean really!! Those are awesome. And what a great gift idea if you need a bunch of something. I mean this is a great idea. I love the pretty soaps, but being a person who doesn't savor the washing process, I opt for liquid soap most of the time, so if the soap is wrapped up, I can look at it, admire it, but then use the pump!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! What wonderful things...all those dishes, I'd go crazy. I love the little music covered bird.
ReplyDeleteVirtual shopping is about all I'm doing these days. Love the transferware!! The little bird idea is cute! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteO'Debbie, I LOVE the cow soap...I just may have to steal that idea and make some for my power room!! Thanks for all your inspiration, Gail
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious friend you are to take us along on your shopping excursion! Funny how certain things catch one's eyes...like the shelf hanging next to the blue & white hutch with the blue enamel pitcher hanging on it. "Mr. Ed's" dad gave us one similar to it. It's in the lower level living area just sitting on a storage unit. I called "Mr. Ed" in to see the shelf. His reply,"We could do something like that." Thanks for the inspiration, dear friend!
Fondly,
Pat
Hiya Debbie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fine tour. I just saw some dishes I have been searching for for over 10yrs. Plus they had quite a few of the pieces to the set! Where is this place located? Do they have a website? My heart is racing and I'm really excited!
Barbe
I had to pin that cow soap, that is the cutest soap ever!
ReplyDelete♥Linsey
I could live in that place! Love the cow soaps that you made!
ReplyDeleteMy comment on the last couple pix would be stolen from my daughter, "Mecca!". I would love to go there with a paycheck or two! I applaud your good behavior at only buying a lamp.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shopping trip! I'm dizzy from too much eye candy! Of course you would make the soaps! They are precious! Thank you for sharing the fabulous post and your genius at Potpourri Friday at 2805!
ReplyDeleteYou take great photos! Looks like you were at Queen of Hearts Antiques and Interiors in Alphatetta GA. Stop by and say HI next time you visit.
ReplyDeleteI know..you went to QOA...love that one in Alpharetta, however that transferware booth makes me so nervous I can't even look at all the pieces. Love the antique carving set and the cute soaps. Have a great weekend,
ReplyDeleteBabs
OMGOODNESS...there was a skeleton under the flaking skin of that cow! AND THE DISHES>>>> LURVE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, Andrea! Isn't that creepy? I never noticed it until I saw it in the photograph!
ReplyDeleteI might have to give my soap a little cow mooover!
ReplyDeleteYour cow soap is adorable! I had to pin a lot out of this post! Thank you for joining me at Home Sweet Home!
ReplyDeleteSherry
Wow, that soap is great! I am hosting a Giveaway to win a 50 dollar gift card to the store HomeGoods. It would be great if you stopped by and entered. Thanks Anu
