Woo hoo! History is being made tonight! We are having our first white Christmas here in the Atlanta area in 128 years...which, of course, means it's my first white Christmas ever! It started snowing...big, wet snowflakes...just before dark, so this is all I have to show you so far! I can't wait to wake up in the morning and see it! Yes, I know all of you folks up North are not much impressed, but please indulge us Southerners as we enjoy a little taste of what it must be like for you!
I hope you have had a wonderful day...I know I have! I have relished every second of it! I have played with each and every toy with my sweet grandchildren and eaten waaaay too much, so this is just the icing on an already fabulous cake! I'll keep you posted...but in the meantime...

ReplyDeleteWe had a white Christmas too and love it.
We live in the NW GA mountains & our snow started about 9AM & lasted all day!!! What a WONDERFUL Christmas gift! I'm an IA transplant so I've had many white Christmases but this was my 54 year old husband's first! What a kid he was! We spent most of the day on our front porch, looking at the mountains & watching it snow! A perfect Christmas Day!!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, down here in N.O. we are hoping and a praying for some snow this year. Of course we missed Christmas. I don't know if it's ever snowed here for Christmas. I remember it did on New Year's Eve some 45 years ago. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteIt was our lucky year, wasn't it? :-)
ReplyDeleteWow Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you got the snow that started on us Christmas afternoon in Auburn, Alabama. It was the first flake of snow I'd ever seen on Christmas, too. We had to head back home to the Montgomery, Al area because we didn't want to be out on bad roads. It was already sticking when we left.
