1. Add mums to your favorite container. I love the look of yellow mums in a creamy white tureen! And the good news is that they are already available!
2. Sprinkle a few pumpkins (mine are faux for now) among your existing décor. You don’t have to take everything down and start over. Just add a few fall touches to what’s there!
3. Add a bit of fall foliage. Even though the leaves will be green until well into October here in the South, all sorts of pretty faux fall stems are available at home décor stores.
4. Bring out your fall pillows. Throw pillows are such an easy way to add seasonal touches! One of my favorites is my VINTAGE FRENCH PUMPKIN PILLOW!
5. Add some fall decorations to a tray. A simple fall vignette on a coffee table tray can add that seasonal feeling without having to decorate the whole house.
Or how about a few fall touches in the kitchen? A galvanized tray is the perfect base for an easy fall display!
I’m not ready for a full home tour here yet…unless the little grands’ orange Legos count!…but here’s a peek at my FALL HOME TOUR from a couple of years ago! How about you? Are you thinking ahead to fall, too?

I love your decor. I started with a simple tray for the coffee table today. I don't want full-blown fall quite yet. With my pink and aqua decor, I'm being careful what I use this year. You gave some great ideas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love all that Fall decor and am getting inspired to get my Fall on!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteGuess I had better "hop" to it, dear friend!
I have out the pumpkins and the Fall foliage, but not the others mentioned here!
Great inspirational ideas!
Fondly,
Pat
Since I discovered blogs have loved yours. Always find incredible projects here that even I can make look pretty decent. Love to create decorations for seasons, especially Fall. Even tho am sure have plenty of items for Fall still like to make more every Fall.
ReplyDeleteLove the rich colors, foliage, all of it. Especially love your pillow cover. It's perfect for season and as you said goes well into Thanksgiving. That's kind of decorations I am loving. All your other decorations are wonderful. Think will make few pumpkins on sticks also, have just the right container for arrangement of them.
Altho am not ready for Fall decorations in house yet (know hubs isn't at all). Last year when I got Fall decos out he was grumbling about not too much so soon (was first of Oct.)
He liked this past Christmas as had right shoulder replaced on 12/7 so what got done before then was it. Actually I enjoyed it more since had only small amount to put away, so much easier. Think will be getting rid of lots of old stuff to keep it simple. It's the cleaning up after holidays, putting away which is getting to be bit much.
Enjoy rest of week
Love your kitties, all so pretty and sweet, is Ozzie a Maine coon? We have orange striped kitty who is about 13 or 14 at least we brought with us from KY. He seems to get sweeter the older he gets. Have black lab/border collie who will be 8 in early Nov. we adopted from Pet Smart adoption fair and we have 5 chickens who are about 3 yrs. old now.
Our lives at this point in them (I am 76 and hubs will be 75 in Oct) center pretty much around our critters, grandkids are mostly grown up now.
I always struggle with pumpkins because I am not an orange person. Because of this I try to use mostly white pumpkins in my fall decor but your orange mini pumpkins look absolutely smashing with your blue transferware. You may have converted me! Thanks for the ideas
