Christmas on the Porch

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Christmas on the PorchYaay! We are finally having rain and then a cold spell! It feels like Christmas is really on the way! It’s actually been ready for a while so I think it’s time I shared my Christmas porch. It has lots of red with tartan plaid and galvanized accents…a little hint of what’s waiting for you inside!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Christmas on the PorchI have a small porch so I have to choose my pieces to have a big bang in a little space and still leave room for visitors to get to the door! And I will be honest…there’s a lot of Lego chaos going on inside courtesy of the little grands so I am finding clean and simple quite attractive these days!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Christmas on the PorchOn one side you are greeted by an olive bucket containing a boxwood tied off with a plaid bow. It’s flanked by a lantern filled with red ornaments and my new favorite…a pair of rain boots filled with frosted berries and greenery. The boots are actually a Walmart sale find!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Christmas on the PorchOn the other side…another olive bucket and more lanterns.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pottery Barn Inspired Faux Magnolia WreathOn the door you will find my POTTERY BARN INSPIRED FAUX MAGNOLIA WREATH. It has been rotated from the mantel a couple of years ago to the porch…a great way to keep something fresh and different in each location.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Christmas on the PorchAnd, of course, we have to have a little reminder for Santa to let him know that there are a couple of little guys inside who are almost beside themselves with excitement! But with a 5 and 6 year old in the house, there’s always lots of excitement!

And for more idea for a small space, here’s a look at my FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS PORCH. And stay tuned for my mantel reveal…coming in a couple of days!

Remember to pin it!

  1. Very welcoming, Debbie. I know you are going to have a fun Christmas with those little guys close at hand. We had a very wet few days, but now it is just grey and cold. Perfect weather for sitting by a cozy fire, drinking a cup of hot tea, and catching up on favorite blogs. Merry, Merry! ~ Sarah

  2. Your porch looks amazing! The wreath and lanterns are great and I think we're going to have to start a red boots club. :) Love them!

  5. I have to say that I love your blog. So inspiring and from a sister in Christ who isn't afraid to talk about the Lord.
I've been getting your blog for a few years now and I love all the posts. I discovered your blog off of the Decor Steals website. (Of which I am also totally addicted) You have helped my imagination sore and I'm happy to say my house looks amazing each season because of it, so thank you very much. Your amazing and you house always looks stunning.
    Keep up the good work.
