If you are like me and you make a lot of your Christmas decorations, the beginning of November always signals that it’s time to get those projects going! Sooo…I thought I would share a few of my favorites with you…and they are all made with some form of sheet music! It just says Christmas to me…so simple, yet beautiful! Here are eight fun and easy ways you can add sheet music to your Christmas decorations!
1. COVER JARS TO CREATE CANDLE HOLDERS All you need is a few old jars, some frenchy sheet music (mine came from The Graphics Fairy) and a few little finishing touches to create these VINTAGE FRENCH SHEET MUSIC CANDLES! I love the glow they add!
2. ADD IT TO A CENTERPIECEFolded trees made from scrapbooking paper sheet music add the perfect touch to my SHABBY CHRISTMAS CENTERPIECE. The trees are so easy that the kiddos can help with this one!
3. MAKE A FOREST OF TINY TREESSheet music themed scrapbooking paper was once again the medium for these EASY VINTAGE PAPER TREES. I made them in several sizes and added them to a small silver tray.
And here's another version that is topped off with a tiny glittery star. Love it!
4. CREATE A WREATHThis one is my favorite...a SHEET MUSIC WREATH! A book of vintage sheet music found at Goodwill supplied more than enough material to make this beauty. It was the star of a sheet music themed Christmas mantel one year but I will tell you a secret...I love it so much that it stays out all year long!
5. DECOUPAGE SOME CANDLESHere is another project from my music-themed Christmas mantel...these POTTERY BARN INSPIRED SHEET MUSIC CANDLES. They were so easy to make and waaaay less expensive!
6. ADD IT TO ORNAMENTSOnce again, here's an idea from my Goodwill sheet music stash...SHEET MUSIC CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS! They still pop up occasionally in my dough bowl arrangements all year 'round.
7. MAKE CANDLE COVERSA few vases from Dollar Tree and a print-out of some Medieval sheet music (provided in the post) are almost all that you need for these WISTERIA INSPIRED SHEET MUSIC CANDLES. The script for the little tags is included as well.
8. MAKE ORIGAMI STARSHere's one that I am working on for this year...fun origami stars! I'm experimenting with vintage sheet music and print-outs on aged paper. I will share the result with you when it's ready but think ornaments and garlands!

I'm working on the same origami stars! So far only 4-5 are made. The part that is hard for me is the step that the video I watched describes as "a little magic". Yes, it takes a little magic at that step every time. I'm still not sure how it all finally pops into place.

While vacationing this Autumn, one vendor used sheets from old hymn books strewn
on shelves of a bookcase, then added shelf after shelf of ironstone. I was smitten!
I, too, hope to use some vintage sheet music in my Christmas decor this year!
