At the Country Living Fair

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT At the Country Living Fair Woo hoo! This past Friday I got to mark a little something off my bucket list! I went to the Country Living Fair in Stone Mountain, Georgia…sooo much fun! Want to come along and check out my favorites?

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair`14 Of course, you must stop by the famous pumpkin tower! Don’t you love the assortment of sizes, shapes and colors?

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair3 Then we headed into the General Store where there was a display of pretty fall centerpieces…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair4 …and seasonal tablescapes. Love those unusual bark chargers! And, no, you can’t use pencils as utensils, but they do add some rustic country charm!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair12 Now off to shop! I loved this pretty soap! Wish you could smell it!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair1 And there were piles of fabulous vintage goodies like these old clocks that were missing their works…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair6 …and these great vintage printing press letters…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair7 …this collection of tin tart molds…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair10 …and these old-fashioned tin Santa molds! I loved these because this Santa looks more like the French Père Noël but I wasn’t willing to wait in line to buy one. The Christmas booths were really popular!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair5 And speaking of Christmas, how about a tree made from reclaimed bead board?

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair8 If you know me, you know I love sheep and goats so I lingered for a few minutes checking out this life-size sheep! Hey…my HOA would let me have this one! I’m not sure if the little friend that was crawling around on his head came with him!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair11 I loved this vintage rocking doggy but my little grands are really too big for it now. However, I did see it later being lovingly carried away by another grandmother…to a good home, I am sure!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair13I really wanted these…fabulous frenchy legs just waiting for a table top…but there’s no space for another table in my house!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Country Living Fair9 And there were other bits of frenchiness scattered around the fair as well!

GoodiesBut I don’t think you will be surprised when I show you what came home with me…a gorgeous pair of earrings made from my favorite grapey vintage silverplate flatware pattern from juNxtaposition…and a fabulous little Quimper dish…

034 …from Cari Cucksey  (in the purple scarf) of HGTV’s Cash and Cari! Woo hoo! One of my favorite TV stars! :-) What fun!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT At the Country Living Fair And I also came away with some farmhouse-y galvanized sap buckets, too! But best of all, I had a great time hanging out with my friends…(l to r) my BFF Nan, moi, and fellow blogger Barb from The Everyday Home! Only thing missing…I didn’t eat a funnel cake! Maybe next time!
