Magic Pumpkin Seeds for You…from France!

041I can’t wait to show you my most recent little project…so cute and easy! And best of all…it’s French and free…my favorite combination!

011 It’s all centered around this wonderful wire cloche from Wuslu. Do you Wuslu? It's my new addiction! They sell one cute thing a day. Period. (It's not available at Wuslu right now, but I also found it here.) Honestly, Marty at A Stroll thru Life can tell you…I’m not a cloche person. But…this one is different! For one thing…it’s wire…gotta love that! I am just cloche-impaired when it comes to the glass ones!

015 And…it’s got a door! It’s sort of a combination birdcage without a bottom and a cloche with a door. Unique, huh?

019 On the inside...my vintage book bundle with a little baby pumpkin and something special that I will show you in a moment.

038 And if you know me and my obsession with mice, you know I had to have one of these from Pottery Barn…love it!

020 And here’s the French and free part…magic pumpkin seeds! Well, not the seeds actually…just the packet. I am always checking out the French websites for anything different…and this really is! I found it here on Marie Claire Idées among their Halloween ideas. Just click on Téléchargez le sachet illustré to download yours or I can email it to you if you can't get the link to work. Wouldn't this be cute for children? The front says Magic Pumpkin Seeds

022 …and the back says…Sow these seeds along the forest paths October 31st before midnight... They will become lanterns, ghosts or a carriage… Hmmm…

032 Kitty and Baby Kitty are saying…Whaaaat? What’s that got to do with Halloween? What can I say? It’s a French thing! (More likely they are saying...This is my mouse!...No, it's mine!)

024 Here they are again…love the vintage look! I had to buy the seeds at Home Depot. You should have heard the clerk giggle. Yes…I know they don’t have time to grow!

041 And here it is again…my little frenchy vignette with magic French pumpkin seeds! And…I think that after Halloween I can take away the seed packets and the mouse, add a few leaves and use it until Thanksgiving. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my project!  Please visit these wonderful bloggers and their beautiful blogs to see what they are up to and to find a list of this week’s participants!

  4. I tried 3 times, but never got the image in the PDF just a blank page. I must have been holding my mouth wrong. LOL It just didn't work for me and my high school French is too rusty to read any further instructions.

  13. Debbie, you know I'm without a beautiful glass cloche too. I have to show photos of my friends' cloches so I can participate in Marty's party. Even found myself photographing glass cloches filled with various things while in Paris. Thought I could sneak into the party again with someone else's vignette. ;-)
Love the one you found. That's my kind of cloche!
Cute magic seed packet. I'm sending this along to friends to share the idea. I think their grands will think it's fun and special. ~ Sarah

  16. I do love that cage and your printouts. What a cute idea. I ordered a pillow from wuslu and was disappointed in the quality. I am hooked on Joss & Main and One Kings Lane. Maybe I will find something better at wuslu one day.
    Have a super week!

  20. Love the wire cloche. I am not good at the glass ones, can't get a good pic of them with the glare.

And your runner and table...just beautiful.

  22. I now have 1 printed seed packet! However, I have gone to other websites and then returned to yours and then to Marie Claire - but for the life of me I can't get it to work the second time. I guess I will just take my one good colored copy and have it reproduced at the copy store for the others I want to gift it to for Halloween! Merci, Debbie

Just a note - was the wire cloche cheaper or the same price at Wushlu?

    Thanks, - Mary in Oregon

  40. Cute. Very, very cute! I love the idea of magic pumpkin seeds.

I agree with Marigene. Kitty and Baby Kitty look like they are ready to rumble over that mouse. lol. Baby Kitty's eyes and posture are very clearly saying, "Back off, Kitty! It's MINE!"

Every time you post a pic of one of your fur babies, I am always amazed how much of their personality you capture. They seem to enjoy showing off for the camera. :)

  47. So cute and whimsical! I love it. When I first saw your cloche, I thought it was a birdcage, which I'm kind of in to these lately. apparently, 4 years of high school French (about 15 years ago)was a waste of time, because I wouldn't have known what any of that said without your help.
Thanks for sharing this adorable idea.
