As soon as I saw this photo in the spring Pottery Barn online catalog, I was in love…and I knew it would be easy and inexpensive for me to copy, too! Why?
Because I was very lucky last spring to find the very same basket for a bargain price at the Pottery Barn outlet! The catalog lists the grapevine basket at $39.50 and I paid…are you ready?…only $16.00 for mine! Woo hoo! You can read all about it here.
I already had white tulips that I had bought on sale at Michaels so all I needed was the bunnies! I found these cuties at Pier 1 for a mere $6.95 for the larger one and $3.95 for the small one. Gotta love that since the Pottery Barn bunnies are $32.50 each! All I had to do was add a little excelsior and a handmade Happy Easter sign…
…and taaa daaa! There you have it! I love it…simple, yet a happy…a harbinger of the arrival of spring!
And here they are! Not too bad, huh? The best thing is that my version was soooo much cheaper! :-)
Baby Kitty seems to be daydreaming of spring also…when fresh catnip is once more on the patio and the little frogs return to the water feature! Ahhhh! Not too much longer now!
And just in case you are ready to get a little bit of spring going at your house, here are my no-sew burlap bunny ear silverware pocket and matching Pier 1 inspired bunny ear napkin ring…with complete tutorials so you can get your spring craft on!
And more spring inspiration from The Scoop’s Mega Spring Linky Party…twenty-five pretty wreaths to add a breath of spring to your door! You can see them all and find links to instructions here.

ReplyDeleteWow that turned out perfect! I love the movement created with the tulips- that's the first thing my eyes saw. You captured it all perfectly! The basket is so close to theirs it's amazing- and the price was excellent!
