Vintage Ironstone and Sweater Hearts...My Valentine Centerpiece

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine CenterpieceI am continuing my farmhouse Valentine décor in the breakfast room with my Valentine centerpiece starring pieces from my vintage ironstone collection and sweater hearts…all gathered up in my bargain Williams Sonoma Outlet woven tray!

Baby KittyOur co-host Baby Kitty has spent a portion of the last two days peering out the window at our first snow of the winter. It has been several years since we have had very much and he seems puzzled! He doesn’t seem to find my centerpiece nearly as interesting so I will start without him!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine Centerpiece The heart of the centerpiece is my Red Cliff ironstone tea pot…a bargain find from eBay, largely due to the fact that it was missing its lid. I have filled it with faux tulips since the real ones don’t seem to be available here yet.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine CenterpieceI have decorated my $15.00 French bottle drying rack (Woo hoo! Get the details here. ) with my Wedgwood Queensware cups and sweater and embroidered hearts…after-Christmas sale finds at Hancock Fabrics.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine CenterpieceI am also giving you a peek at my no-sew cross-stitch look tea towel…super easy and inexpensive! I’ll be sharing all the details with you later!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pottery Barn Inspired No-Sew Tea Towel If it looks familiar, it coordinates with my Pottery Barn inspired no-sew tea towel. You will find a complete tutorial plus the free graphic here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine Centerpiece A little sweater heart also fills my vintage Wedgwood Patrician cup…a Goodwill find, along with a stack of saucers.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine CenterpieceAnd there you have it…my Valentine’s Day centerpiece! I am enjoying this little farmhouse twist to my Valentine décor and I still have a few more projects to share with you…so stay tuned!

  5. Debbie, hope you and the staff are warm and cozy enjoying the snowy scene from within. What an unexpected event!
It's been really cold here too, but no snow this week. We had ice on Tuesday. More cold weather expected next week.
Your valentine vignette is adorable. Those little sweater hearts warm my heart and your tea towels are so cute. They make perfect valentines!

  6. Your Valentine table looks so good - everything is perfect. The tea pots or pitchers without lids make the best vases for flowers. I always will buy those if I can find them at a garage sale.
Looks like your co-worker is watching something in the yard, he probably want a raise.
Have a great weekend and I hope is warm for you.
