Of course, you must stop by the famous pumpkin tower! Don’t you love the assortment of sizes, shapes and colors?
Then we headed into the General Store where there was a display of pretty fall centerpieces…
…and seasonal tablescapes. Love those unusual bark chargers! And, no, you can’t use pencils as utensils, but they do add some rustic country charm!
Now off to shop! I loved this pretty soap! Wish you could smell it!
And there were piles of fabulous vintage goodies like these old clocks that were missing their works…
…and these great vintage printing press letters…
…this collection of tin tart molds…
…and these old-fashioned tin Santa molds! I loved these because this Santa looks more like the French Père Noël but I wasn’t willing to wait in line to buy one. The Christmas booths were really popular!
And speaking of Christmas, how about a tree made from reclaimed bead board?
If you know me, you know I love sheep and goats so I lingered for a few minutes checking out this life-size sheep! Hey…my HOA would let me have this one! I’m not sure if the little friend that was crawling around on his head came with him!
I loved this vintage rocking doggy but my little grands are really too big for it now. However, I did see it later being lovingly carried away by another grandmother…to a good home, I am sure!
I really wanted these…fabulous frenchy legs just waiting for a table top…but there’s no space for another table in my house!
And there were other bits of frenchiness scattered around the fair as well!
But I don’t think you will be surprised when I show you what came home with me…a gorgeous pair of earrings made from my favorite grapey vintage silverplate flatware pattern from juNxtaposition…and a fabulous little Quimper dish…
…from Cari Cucksey (in the purple scarf) of HGTV’s Cash and Cari! Woo hoo! One of my favorite TV stars! :-) What fun!
And I also came away with some farmhouse-y galvanized sap buckets, too! But best of all, I had a great time hanging out with my friends…(l to r) my BFF Nan, moi, and fellow blogger Barb from The Everyday Home! Only thing missing…I didn’t eat a funnel cake! Maybe next time!

Great recap of the Country Living Fair. I went on Friday too. I was a little surprised at how crowded it was but thoroughly enjoyed myself.
ReplyDeleteDeb so glad you got to go and shared some pics! It looks great. Maybe next year for me. I ended up not being able to go as my family got sick with cold and I was needed to babysit. That Grand comes first of course! Love your Quimper bowl!

I stayed in bed nice and warm last Friday morning.....But I have to go next year...My BFF from Jersey is coming down to write that off her bucket list...How did you find the prices to be??....the two years I went I thought the prices were a bit steep for selling things out in a field....I bought very few things...but I did get a lot of good ideas....

I love the small tart tins. Great find with your Quimper bowl!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I have those tart molds! They are a pain in the hiney to clean but I love them anyway. You'd have to drag me away kicking and screaming from this place.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, glad you had a terrific time. I missed the CLF the year it was held here. It hasn't been back again.
ReplyDeleteThe Q bowl is adorable. Great find. Is it a Malicorne piece?
Thanks for taking us along! The CLF is still on my list! Wish they would host one in the PNW! One day perhaps! Always love coming over and visiting your space! Have a wonderful week! Best, Kennesha
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these GREAT photos of the fair!!! So much fun to see these...I need to put the fair on MY bucket list too for next year after seeing your photos. I saw your post over at the StoneGable blog party.
