Ohh! How about this cute flying pig for starters? Only $22. Hmmm...OK, in the U-Haul it goes!
Are these not just the cutest things?? I want both of them...the sheep for sure! They are $45 each. It's the little blue and white striped base that I love so much.
You know I can't pass a rooster! Hmmm...this one is marked down to $30! I love his feathers!
Well...knock me down and call me Howdy!! Do you see what this is?? Do you remember my post on the Presidential china patterns? Here are salad plate sized versions of five of them! The Madison china was green though, I think. These range in price from $16 to $21 each. (Click here to see that post.)
I love this display! It's so colorful. I think geraniums are my favorite flower and there are some more roosters. See, I told you I can't walk past one without stopping!
And here's another on a tray. Hmmm...$57....a might pricey. Hey! It's virtual money!
Hoh hoh hoh...bonjour mesdames!!! C'est moi...Jacques-Louis....le cousin de Jean-Claude et Nicholas-Henri! Oh là là! It looks like we've found Jacques-Louis, the third cousin twice removed of Susan's pigs at Between Naps on the Porch! (Click here to see Susan's pig post.) He will go home with you for only $34!
Here's one for all you cloche lovers....$42.50. I love the blue and white cake stand, too. It's $28.75 and of course you'll want them both. Hmmm...carry the one...that's $71.25. What do you think?
I fell in love with these! These are antique English carving utensils. The fork is $35 and the knife is $48. Just look at those bone handles! I'll bet they have carved a lot of meat. Maybe these are the ones that carved the Christmas goose when Tiny Tim said "God bless us, every one!"
Baaaaad news! Do you remember the goat rack that I have been eyeing? It's gone. :-( But I found this sheep hook. Uhhhhh..no....a little creepy, but only $24.50!
I have never seen anything like this! It's a chain. The tag says that it can be hung or displayed in a bowl. Can you see what it is........?
It's little tiny earthenware cups! Aren't they cute? It's $32. I'm afraid I'd take it home and cut it up for a giant mouse picnic!!
I love this bunny pillow! Let's see.....$195. Wow! Oh, but remember....it's virtual money! You can have anything you want!
While we are looking at bunnies, here are Mr. and Mrs. Cottontail...$78.95 for the pair! I love their little outfits!
Ohhhhhh! Look at this! A vintage child's tea set in this cute basket for $19! You've gotta love this one!
I saved the best for last. Yes, it's another rooster, but this one has a story. It was purchased at an estate sale and was made for a special teacher by her students because it was something they knew she would love. I nearly cried when I saw it! The teacher in me wanted to buy it and bring it home to be loved. But he was $135....not virtual money! :-( I hope someone special will buy him! Any volunteers??
Well...I'm ready to head out, are you? Let's pack up the U-Haul. What did you buy? All this shopping has made me hungry!! How does Italian sound to you?
Well, I would have bought that lamp in a heart beat. A New York second? Whatever..I have searched ebay..scoured the little stores around here..nothing. But..guess who did get one. My sweet bloggy friend "Di" of Swaddle Cottage. Yep..I was PEA GREEN with envy. Still am. Dern it anyway! Ok..I guess I was happy for her. (a bit) Oh..and the sheep. LOVED it. Oh..oh..and the ..never mind. The lamp broke me! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Mona
Oh Deb,Please tell me you bought the sheep and the pig or at least the sheep. It would look wonderful in your kitchen or dining room or living room.I love him.If you don't get him I think I want him and the bunny pillow and the carving set.Now that was virtually pain free. What a fun trip.Sorry the goat rack is gone,I really wanted him for YOU.The other guy is a little scarey,I agree.Kathysue
ReplyDeleteJacques-Louis...we found you, at last! Nicolas-Henri and I miss you terribly...why did you run away like that? Please come home, soon. Your brother, Jean-Claude.
ReplyDeleteP.S. That sheep is a little scary...he looks possessed...it's the eyes...beware of the eyes! :-)
Thanks for letting me tag along on the shopping spree! I had a difficult time deciding which items to take home . . . let's see, I think I'll buy the rooster lamp for my kitchen and the pretty blue tray as well. This virtual shopping is so much fun!

ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tour! Since it's only virtual money, I'll take 1 of each ( except maybe the sheaphead, could get bad dreams over that one). I especially love that blue rooster and the cousin of Jean-Claude- oh and that when pigs fly is also a keeper. Love the music too! Have a great week-end, Cindy
Oh just had a looksee at your tour....oh those sheep are wonderful...as I do spinning etc....they would look lovely next to my wheel.
ReplyDeleteAnother great shopping trip Debbie. I so am taking that flying pig, ask Cait that is my favorite expression and I assure you she heard it quite often growing up haha. I love the sheep (the one on the base), the sheep hook is quite spooky. You always find such great things, I need to take you shopping with me! Hugs, Kathy
ReplyDeletePS, I can't believe you found those Presidential pattern plates, how funny is that? Did you grab them for a tablescape? K
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie, I do love the sheep and the cow, and the blue on the base is just perfect for you. That blue rooster is just too precious, I think you really do need that too. ReplyDeleteI agree, the rooster lamp is really special...I clicked on the photo to see him up close, and he is so beautifully and realistically detailed. I also loved the bunny pillow. But I'm SO disappointed that your goat rack is GONE! Darn it. I was keeping my fingers crossed that he would go homw with you some day soon. :-)

ReplyDeleteWell, Debbie, you have convinced me! When I retire, Pop and I are going to take our MH to somewhere near this store and I'm going actual shopping - not just virtual! Would you meet me so you can find all the good stuff for me? You do such a wonderful job with these virtual tours I'm sure you'd be able to help me find just what I like. I like everything you like. I even have a flying pig and a set of flying pig plates. I'll have to post them - I just love them! And the roosters are my all time favorite!! $135 is really too steep but doesn't he look so filled with pride and dedication. He is on the job and his territory is secure. What a fun trip. I love your shopping sprees! Till next time - Sharon

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found some presidential plates especially after your wonderful post on them!!!! :D Jewel
Debbie, What a trip...you, and the shopping spree! ;) I giggled the entire way through my virtual shopping spree with you, down one aisle and up another. The "Baaaddd" news one really got me! I admit, my favorite to purchase with my Virtual$ Jacques-Louis..he's precious. The other thing I love is the Rooster Lamp...ahhh, where shall I put her? That's right...she's a virtual purchase, WHO CARES where I put her! lol...OK, I need to hire you as the writer of my blog..you are too cute! And, the french music playing in the background..."Francais et Chic". Ok...first, to answer your question on my Saturday post, the shop is very unique, and only one of MANY...I'm heading back up there with my Beloved probably next Saturday. It's just the absolute most quaint little town (close to it) in the USA that I've visited. (45 min from my place) An old fashioned 50's style Ice Cream parlor is there that sells Mayfield IceCream, multiple antique shops, etc... Great Italian Restaurant. I am in Knoxville, TN this weekend and have another trip to share this week, uh oh..and there's another Rooster in the pics (a little consignment shop called Repeat, etc). Saw many great things, but quite a pricey little shop. Nonetheless, worthy of showing off the lil chaps anyway. Did I answer all your questions? haha! Hope to connect soon at Biggby's! Au Revoir, ~CC
ReplyDeleteI would like one of each, maybe two since it's virtual money!
ReplyDeleteOh no, say it isn't so Debbie...YOUR goat rack is gone!!! Sniff... I really hope one of your dear friends/relatives sneaked in & bought it for you as a future surprise. I love your sense of humor in your writings...always fun!
ReplyDelete;-) Bo
I'll start with the flying pig. They are quite rare as you know. I have developed an interest in pigs, bunnies, and roosters lately; I wonder why?
ReplyDeleteI also really like the tea set; need to grab that before Miss Janice sees it. That English carving set is very interesting, so I'll take that as well.
I really enjoyed our junket today. Don't forget to include me on the next one.
I instantly recognized the Presidential plate patterns - The Franklin Pierce right there in the foreground...one of my 2 favorites. I would never have known that pattern were it not for your post on these. I'll take that of course. Swooned over the English carving set with the bone handles.
ReplyDeleteHi Norwegian! Thanks so much for the visit and the kind remarks! Yes, I love the carving set, too! I couldn't believe it when I saw those plates...I would have walked right by them w/o having found that site w/ all of the patterns! So nice to see you!...Debbie
ReplyDeleteHi Glenda...I laughed when I read your remark! I didn't notice until I got home and looked at my pics that they were ALL bunnies, pigs and roosters...with an occasional sheep thrown in for good measure! lol Maybe I'm having delusions of living on a farm! I hope you are having a good weekend! Thanks for dropping by. You aare always welcome, my friend!...Debbie
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, I bought the cloche and cake stand. I love these antiquing trips!
ReplyDeleteHey! I was expecting to see plates, and lots of them, preferably transferware. Maybe next time?
ReplyDeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you ever head south down I-75!
