So here are my 6 random things:
1. I wanted to meet Jacques Cousteau and go aboard the "Calypso" but he died and it sank before I could do either of those things. :(
2. I name all of my cars. My current car is named Tawanda ("Fried Green Tomatoes").
3. I had my daughter at age 29, my mother had me at 29, my grandmother had her at 29, my great-grandmother had her at 29 and my great- great-grandmother had her at 29. My daughter is 28. Hmmm....
4. I have cut a kitten's umbilical cord. I found an abandoned new-born kitten in the driveway, cut his cord and bottle fed him around the clock . We think his mom was a feral cat having her first litter. That's my Baby Kitty pictured in the sidebar.
5. I want to learn how to play the banjo.
6. I'm related to Patrick Henry (..."give me liberty or give me death.")

ReplyDeleteDebbie, you are a sweetie.
I had panic attacks for 13 years they went away for 6 years and now they are back with no reason.
I will go to paris but I don't know if it's next year in 09.
Have a great week-end. I did a lot of christmas shopping today and 5 of the 6 grandkids are finished. I'm about 85% finished for my daughters. Not much more to go and then it's all that wrapping. LOL

Have seen your name around blogland and it just occurred to me what it said (lol) So I thought I would drop in and say "bonjour madame ca fais longtemps que j'ai utiliser mon francais ici au sud" I know my writing is awful which is a shame but haven't written it since I left grade 8 many years ago had to believe it was my first language;) French
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie - I LOVE the music on your blog!! Christmas music is my very favorite. Also - I can't believe you were able to save the kitty! You must be an angel - I tried nursing an orphan kitten once and had no luck. It was heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteHello again. I just checked out your home on MicasaStyle and your livingroom is exactly what I want mine to look like eventually. The wall color is almost identical and of course I have blue transferware and toile. I love it! I'll have to keep refining mine.
ReplyDeleteGreat 6 Random things girl..and to save that sweet kitty..I liked you before but now girl I love you how wonderful is that..Love love thsi random things as you get to know so much about your firends here in blog land..thanks Debbie for sharing...daughter 28 maybe next year?? hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie that little kitten was Isabella? That warms my heart!! And I must say, the pressure must be on for your DD! *winks* That's a long line of 29rs! *gulp* Lol! Vanna
ReplyDeleteHey Vanna...The kitty I bottle fed is actually named Baby Kitty. I lack imagination. He's the big ol' orange and white fellow on my side bar. Isabella came from Lowe's parking lot, but that's another story!! Yep...I'm trying not to pressure my daughter. I made the cut off by 2 weeks. Good thing she wasn't late!lol...Debbie
ReplyDeleteYou are such an interesting lady...I loved reading your random 6... naming your car Tawanda is priceless...I have seen that movie 6 times...Loved it! The #29 story is amazing.. as is the story of Baby Kitty... ;-) B
ReplyDeleteLady I do think you need to play the lottery and pick 29 for the Powerball.
ReplyDeleteBaby Kitty sure looks healthy. Congrats on the stamina it took to feed a newborn kitten.
Debbie, I love learning more and more about you. I too have named my cars in the past. I know drive a truck..hummm might have to think up a name for it..I love Tawanda used in the movie..have used it a time or two myself..lol Thanks for swinging in and looking over yet another collection.. :-) hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteHi Glenda...Good suggestion about the power ball! I never thought about that. Yes, Baby Kitty is HUGE! We were going to give him a better name after his first vet visit and we found out his sex, but by then it was too late. That name had already stuck! Have a great weekend!...Debbie
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I can't wait for the granddaughter, and I already knew how caring you were so the baby kitty is just the final proof. What I can't wait for is to hear you play the banjo. I'm all ready for a concert. Hugs Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie okay I've completed my tagging!!!! Go take a peek! CHEERS!!! Michele

ReplyDeleteI've just found your lovely blog. Enjoyed your list.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Oh Miss Debbie ,You should write a book you have such a way with words. I love to read what you have to say. Very interesting about the hair.I never broke a bone until last year and I was walking around with a fractured knee, now how the heck did that happen. I didn't get my license until 17, for the same reason. Keep doing what you do, oh so well. I loved my trip to Paris, thankyou for my vicarious experience. Hugs, Kathysue
