Summery Farmhouse Centerpiece

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Summery Farmhouse CenterpieceIt’s July and in Georgia that means two things…it’s hot and it’s time for peaches! A trip to my favorite produce stand in the north Georgia mountains with my BFF Nan netted me some wonderful July Flame peaches so I thought I would share them with you. (Wish I really could…they’re yummy!) And while they last, I decided to make them the star of a simple summery farmhouse centerpiece! Got to keep them in easy reach, you know!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Simple Summery CenterpieceI started with one of my favorite farmhouse-style pitchers and filled it with peachy-pink faux hydrangeas. I love the chunky rustic lines!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Simple Summery CenterpieceThe flowers are hiding the reason it’s a favorite so I will show you. The handle is a curious cat! Love it!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Simple Summery CenterpieceI pulled out my favorite grapey vintage silverplate forks…a gift from a sweet reader years ago…and added them to some napkins in cheerful summer colors.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Simple Summery CenterpieceThen I placed my peaches in this beautiful Farmhouse Wood Bowl from Heritage Lace, one of my wonderful partners. It really adds to the farmhouse feel of my centerpiece!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Simple Summery CenterpieceHere’s a little closer look so that you can see the grain of the wood…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Simple Summery Centerpiece…and the wonderful rustic details! Isn’t it gorgeous? It really has that vintage-y look of a piece that has aged with time and use.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Summery Farmhouse CenterpieceAnd finally, here’s another look. The peaches won’t be here long! They are destined to be eaten over cereal along with some blueberries and to be made into a yummy peach cobbler for tonight's dessert.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Vintage Farmhouse CenterpieceAnd here’s a different farmhouse look from almost exactly one year ago…. my VINTAGE FARMHOUSE CENTERPIECE. Summer seems to bring out the farmhouse style for me!
What about you? Do you keep some of your farm stand haul on your kitchen table, too?

The product mentioned was supplied by Heritage Lace for me to review but all opinions are my own.

Remember to pin it!

  2. Peaches are my very favorite fruit. I love, love, love peach cobblers and peach preserves. They look so yummy sitting in your wonderful wooden bowl. The pitcher is so cute with the cat as a handle. Now tomorrow I am going in search for some of those great peaches.

    Thanks for sharing.

  4. We've been eating hill country peaches. Love this gift of summer! Your vignettes are charing, Debbie. I still have a tray of Uncle Sam figures on our table, but you are inspiring me to think of changing it up. Have a great week.

  14. Just went to our local farm market and bought some SandHill peaches(N.C.) Will pull out one of my vintage wooden bowis and arrange the fruit and add a peach scented candle and some fresh cut flowers from the garden. Now I need to find a tray and a petty vase. Thanks for the inspiration.
