I started with a white damask tablecloth, a look that I love…maybe from my time in France where it’s an absolute must since everyone places their bread directly on the table. (Yep...it's true!) Then I started adding my favorites.
At each place there is a rattan charger to echo the feel of Easter baskets…
…topped with my favorite grape-y plates…just because! :-) I added some pretty handmade aqua napkins with a fun dotted pattern that reflects the grapes. I love the way my chunky pewter flatware has developed a wonderful patina over the years! It’s Octette from Gorham. My Irish lead crystal goblets are always my go-to choice on holidays.
At each place there is sweet bunny egg holder with a simple plain white egg. The faux eggs and the bunny both came from Walmart last year and I had quite an adventure finding enough of them. You can read about it here.
In fact, you may recognize several of the elements of this year’s table from my Pottery Barn inspired Easter table from last year!
In the center is my favorite basket filled with faux white tulips…always a simple and elegant addition!
And there you have it…my simple spring centerpiece for my Easter dinner!
And speaking of dinner, I have a confession! It must have been quite a while since I cooked a big pot of anything because look at Baby Kitty’s reaction when he heard the summer squash (It’s a favorite around here!) simmering on the stove! What is that sound??? lol
How was your holiday weekend? I hope it was filled with fun, family and good food!

Your table is beautiful, Debbie. I ♥ the simplicity of it. I wish I had found those cute little egg cups...they didn't have them this year...but they did have the faux eggs!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week.
The white tablecaloth as a backdrop lends an air of formality to your tablesetting which is perfect for Easter. Do the French really put their bread directly on the table? Love those cute bunny egg holders as well as those gorgeous napkins!
ReplyDeleteYes...it's true! French homes always have tablecloths as do restaurants...or at least a paper on the table. http://gofrance.about.com/od/culture/a/tablemanners.htm
DeleteDelightful table!! Adorable egg cups and such pretty napkins - well done!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I love your pretty Easter tablescape with it's simple French flair. The basket and the rattan chargers add a nice comfortable warmth to the table. Secondly, I love the white Walmart bunny egg cups, I wish that they had had the white at my Walmart. I did find four of the bunny egg cups in aqua at my local Walmart. I went back several times but did not find anymore.
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot to tell you that I love your sweet little kitty keeping you company while you cook too. Have a wonderful day..... Candy
ReplyDeleteSimple? Simply beautiful is what this tablescape is.... Love the kitty...
ReplyDeleteYour springy table is so fresh and pretty! I love those blue dotted napkins with the dotty dinner plates. Your tulips in the basket make the perfect centerpiece. You've inspired me to find some pretty fake ones since I have no real and am on a heavy tulip kick this year. Thanks for sharing your beautiful table filled with inspiration! Blessings~
