So I asked my co-host Miss Kitty to give it her special (and favorite) point of view…upside down! She loves to occasionally look at her world from this position. It seems that she approves!
At the heart of my Easter centerpiece is this wonderful rustic lamb that I found at Joss and Main a while back. If you know me, you know I have a thing about sheep and goats, so I was excited to find it!
Nestled beside it, almost hiding among the moss rocks from Dollar Tree, is one of the découpage Easter eggs that I made last year…
…using pretty spring paper napkins with colorful botanical patterns. You can see more and find a complete tutorial for making these eggs here.
And of course, it would not be Easter without some pretty spring flowers…and for me that’s hyacinths! I love the pastels and the wonderful fragrance! I wrapped them in burlap tied with jute twine and popped them in an old egg basket that I found at Goodwill several years ago. It’s the real deal, with handles worn from lots of mornings collecting eggs or perhaps vegetables from the garden. I love it!
I corralled it all in a wicker tray and centered it on my burlap table square to add a little bit of spring to my breakfast room and...there you have it…my rustic Easter centerpiece! I just have a few more spring and Easter projects left to show you…and I had better hurry! Easter will be here before you know it!

ReplyDeleteGreat centerpiece! I love the sheep, all the texture and your decoupage eggs. I can almost smell the hyacinths...love them. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI love your rustic centerpiece. I can see my table from here and there is nothing pretty to look at on it, just an empty tray and a basket of napkins. I hope that I will have a chance to use the inspiration you share and make things a little prettier around here.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, that little lamb is really charming! I love the vignette you put together in the round basket. It is rustic and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDebbie I love the look of this centerpiece! That lamb is very special!

Debbie, your hyacinths make me want to rush to the grocery and buy a few for myself. My hyacinths are long bloomed out, but I see a few at the grocery now and then. I'm putting that on tomorrow's shopping list. Love the fragrance! Your little lamb is adorable and perfect for your tabletop vignette. Happy Spring, my friend ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteDebbie that looks so pretty! I bet your kitchen smells heavenly with those hyacinths.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty arrangement. You've given me inspiration to do something similar with my tiny pots of tet-a-tete daffodils and tulips that I picked up at Lowe's last Saturday.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty vignette. I love the hyacinths in the pots with the burlap.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I am your newest follower.
Have a great weekend,

ReplyDeleteOmgosh, one of my favorites, I have looked for 3 years for a larger lamb similar to yours and i have not found one yet, but when I do, it will be coming home with me. Your table is so simple and festive, I love all of the textures and the hyacinths are the perfect additions and so is Miss Kitty, I love that post on the cupboard, priceless.
