And our Miss Kitty is in complete agreement with me since…
…we are still in the process of taking down our Christmas decorations due to our recent holiday photo shoot with Country Sampler magazine! Woo hoo! I’m still beaming about that one! :-)
So when I passed these tulips in the grocery store, I knew what I needed to do!
I pulled out my vintage Red Cliff ironstone tea set to create something light and springy for the breakfast room table!
I also took out my homemade “vintage” French linens…
…and these wonderful frenchy rooster salt and pepper shakers…a gift from my friend Babs at Upstairs Downstairs…
…and another sweet gift...from a dear reader, Jackie…this lovely vintage flatware in my favorite grapey pattern!
And of course, the inspiration for it all…these wonderful pink and white tulips…ready to do double duty for Valentine’s Day and an early peek into spring!
And…maybe just a little bit of my leftover Christmas thrown in for good measure!
And there you have it…my early Spring/almost-too-late for Valentine’s Day centerpiece! Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my Valentine/ early spring centerpiece! Please visit these wonderful bloggers and their beautiful blogs to see what they are up to and to find a list of this week’s participants!

Debbie, your centerpiece is fabulous! Love the tulips in your white pitcher. Still wishing I had bought that white pitcher I saw last week at Ross Dress For Less. I've got to have a tulip bouquet! Thanks for the inspiration. Helen

Beautiful centerpiece! Your blog is one of the blogs that inspired me to push the POST button last night on my attempt at blogging. I have a booth at Queen of Hearts Antiques and Interiors and have recognized items in some of your posts...Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove! Your tea set is gorgeous! The tulips look great in the teapot- a nice touch of spring. I haven't done any Valentine decorating this year. I like your idea better- a pink spring-y vignette will last much longer!
ReplyDeleteI almost bought tulips yesterday at the grocery store. Yours are so pretty. I love the round basket and the bEAUTIFUL flatware!!! COME ON SPRING!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Debbie, that is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWe are under 2 ft of snow in NY, so Spring is very far away for us! We are in a winter wonderland with more on the way tonight and on the weekend.
Congratulations on your wonderful news! I'd say you're right on time for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteLove how tulip drape a bit and are so graceful!

Congrats on the photo shoot and your centerpiece is a perfect to start thinking about Spring and a little Valentine's Day. Beautiful vintage Red Cliff ironstone tea set and your roosters are too cute too. I like the burlap piece to ground the centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteA photo shoot for a magazine - how thrilling! Since you will be famous now, you probably will not be needing those adorable rooster salt and pepper shakers. When you are ready to dispose of them, I will gladly send you my address - hahaha. Seriously, those are eye-catchers! Lovely centerpiece and those pink tulips are just meant for spring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vintage Red Cliff ironstone tea set and the tulips are great! Have some salt and pepper chicken shakers - now I have to go and see where I put them. Guess I have tooooooooo much stuff LOL
ReplyDeleteMary
Such a pretty post! I love your tulips...They are such a reminder that Spring will come.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I 'm not the only one that lets my kitties get up on the table to investigate. Oh, just what would we do without our whiskered friends?
Happy Valentine's Day!
Carolynn >^^<
Congratulation on the shoot...I will be looking for it next year...flowers from the grocery store can be so nice. Tulips are my favorite, When they start showing up I get a bunch once a week with the groceries. Since I use the husbands debit card to pay....I say Yes, my husband buys me flowers every week....hahaha
ReplyDeleteTulips are a lovely addition to your Valentine's vignette. I always adore stacked plates.
ReplyDeleteYour ironstone is fabulous. It makes a beautiful statement. Happy Valentine's day
What a nice Frenchy table, Debbie, with your roosters and those cute towels. The tulips make me long for spring and sunshine. It's cold here! Congrats again on your magazine shoot.:-)

Hi Debbie. Whenever I see a pretty display and I click on it, it turns out to be you. I don't know why I'm surprised but I always am. I must be really attracted to the stuff you put together. This is so pretty and just looks like a very springtime vignette. I love it, Happy Monday..Judy
