I asked her to pick up four of the little wreaths for me since I knew I could definitely use them on the backs of chairs or on kitchen cabinet doors at Christmas time…not to mention the fun things I could do with them all year long as well! And…they were under $4.00 each!
You know I love this frenchy document paper! And the outlet store was selling it in single rolls for about $5.00 each. Woo hoo! My mind is reeling with ideas!
And just look at the French script document ribbon…gorgeous! It’s a little more expensive…at $15 for a 10 yard roll…but I love it!
That makes a total of about $34 for all of that wonderful vintage-y frenchy goodness! Score! I am so lucky to have a friend who knows me so well! And I am also lucky to have a wise CEO like our Miss Ozzie who helped me come up with some fun ways to use my new favorites!
She suggested I try making some simple book covers from the document paper and I love her idea! I am also thinking about making sleeves to add a vintage touch to some of my pillar candles.
But my favorite idea is this one that combines the document ribbon with the boxwood wreath…all dressed up in a used-to-be-gold frame from Goodwill. First I gave the frame a coat of Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint with a dry brush. Next, I painted the cardboard inner liner with chalkboard paint…
…and attached the wreath with some of the frenchy ribbon. Then all I had to do was add a Bonjour and I have a new vignette to greet my guests as they enter my home! I love it! And I still have oodles of ribbon and paper plus three more wreath to play with! I am going to have so much fun!
And...if you hop on over to their web site, I think you will find the paper and ribbon on sale there, too...and they didn't pay me to say that! Just a little hint in case you are interested...
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my new favorites! Please visit these wonderful bloggers and their beautiful blogs to see what they are up to and to find a list of this week’s participants!

Love the new bits, Debbie! I should go just for the boxwood wreaths. We have a Ballard outlet about 45 minutes away. I got that same wrapping paper, but I paid full price. I love it anyway. I did make a sleeve for a candle with it to dress up a plain white candle for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the whole vignette!!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I miss the Ballard outlet! When we lived in Atlanta it was one of my favorite shopping spots. I love all your new items and the pretty vignette. Thanks for sharing this at the Open House party.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sherry

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful! I love Ballard Designs but had no idea there were outlets. So happy that you were able to get these lovelies!
ReplyDeleteLove all your finds especially the ribbon, it looks so neat on the boxwood wreath. I have a boxwood wreath that I bought in a country store and it cost me $14.99 for just one! You got such a deal for your four!
ReplyDeleteThis would be lovely and not over-the-top for St. Paddy's Day. Pinned it! :)

ReplyDeleteLovely! Your blog often brings back memories of when I lived in the Atlanta area and went to many of the places you talk about, i.e. Ballard Outlet which was pure love. When I move back to the states I will have to bring a truck to Atlanta and visit the shops again and my friends there. Maybe we could meet for lunch, too. Thank you for your wonderful blog and pictures and bringing back memories of my wonderful shopping in the Atlanta area.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! Wow, love it all!

The French Script ribbon and paper are beautiful, as is Miss Ozzie--I love her coat! And how clever to use the black chalkpaint on the cardboard backing inside the frame--I will have to remember that.

Debbie:
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that French Script paper look lovely as a mat around a framed print? I just love those cute little boxwood wreaths, too! Got to get some of those - I know just where they'll go, too. Love your blog - been following it for a while and I MUST subscribe 'cause your staff is on to me :).
I found this at Ballard's online. Since the nearest outlet is a day trip from me here in Bugtussle, I had to pony up and pay shipping. It's beautiful stuff...can't wait to use it!
ReplyDeleteSooo pretty! I love this ;)
