My Secret for Transitioning into Fall

It's still hot and humid here in Georgia so I am trying to think ahead to the cooler days of fall. It's too soon to pull out the pumpkins so I am sharing my secret weapon for gently transitioning into fall...apples!  I love adding them to my décor and having a hint of the smell of fresh apples in my home. So I thought I would share a few of my favorite ways to get that fall feeling with the help of some wonderful apple-y additions!


CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Transitioning into Fall...Bittersweet and Green Apple Wreath21. ADD APPLES TO A WREATH...Just the addition of a few faux Granny Smiths gives my APPLE AND BITTERSWEET WREATH the transitional fall feel that I love!


CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Spiced Apple Simmering Potpourri2b2. MAKE APPLE POTPOURRI... I love the scent of apples and my all natural SPICED APPLE SIMMERING POTPOURRI has the whole house smelling like fall in just a few minutes!

3. CREATE A CENTERPIECE WITH APPLES...Rustic elements mixed with sunflowers, apples and pears star in my TRANSITIONAL FALL CENTERPIECE. Add some texture with a handled basket and a frenchy rooster vase and you are good to go!

    1. Actually, most of them are fake...but down here in the South you just about can't survive without air conditioning so that helps! ;-)

  4. I think it is a great idea to add apples to transition into fall decor. I particularly like that you chose Granny Smith apples, as the pop of apple green is such a great accent to fall colors. Thanks for sharing.
