It all started with this one…my Ballard inspired French grain sack pillow…and it’s still one of my favorites. It’s always in use in my home after almost five years! Roosters and Provence…what else could you want?
This is another favorite that you’ll see if you ever drop by…my vintage French sheep pillow! This one took a little extra effort because I handmade and then added burlap trim, but I love the result!
I love the graphic on this one…my linen and burlap vintage French typewriter pillow! It reminds me of living in France and having to get used to their keyboard… which is not a QWERTY like ours! Yikes! The free graphic is included in the tutorial.
By the time I made my French poetry pillow, I realized that I had an obsession and would need to figure out a way to remove and store the pillow covers. As a result, this tutorial also includes instructions for making an envelope-style closure. It’s important to me for another reason since I created my own fabric print by adding one of my favorite French poems…La Lune Blanche by Paul Verlaine. If you stuck with me through advanced French class back when I was teaching, you had to memorize it! Everyone needs to be able to recite a French poem to their honey. ;-) You’re welcome!
I love this one…my linen and burlap vintage Eiffel Tower pillow…with a vintage graphic superimposed on an old French dictionary page. As in all of my pillows that require the graphic that I have created, I share it with you in the tutorial. That’s another of my frenchy favorites beside it…my vintage Eiffel Tower book bundle…which spreads the image across the spine of several books for an interesting touch.
This one is a super easy two-fer…my vintage French script bird pillows…that use an iron-on transfer over frenchy fabric. I love the fun spring-y touch that they add!
And speaking of spring…here’s a pillow that ushers it in each year in my home…my Ballard inspired vintage French bunny pillow! But honestly, I think you could leave this one out all year!
This one is a special favorite of mine (But are you noticing that I am saying that about each of these? I love them all!) and another one that’s always out. You’ll see where in a moment! It’s my French ticking pillow with a vintage Camembert label! I loved it so much…
…that I made another pillow with the same French ticking and another label to be its friend…
…and put them both on the bed in my Country French toile guest bedroom! I love to take a tip from Country French design guru Charles Fauderee and mix fabrics! Can you tell?
And finally, here’s another pillow that you will always find in my home…this time in my master bedroom…my Pottery Barn inspired frenchy monogrammed pillow. Maybe it’s the flowers and vintage-y, frenchy monogram, but it just looks French to me! OK…I’m going to confess…this one really is my very, very favorite!
And Miss Kitty, who loves to pose among the bed pillows and nap, says it’s her favorite, too. What about you? Do you love pillows like I do?
Remember to pin it!
