Spring has finally arrived and I am excited, not only because it’s my favorite season, but because I am am joining a group of my fellow Francophiles to bring you a little peek into our homes…French Country style! Much of the rest of my house is filled with Easter bunnies and colored eggs in anticipation of the furry fellow’s visit to my little grands. But…I have reserved the breakfast room just for my style! And nothing says French Country to me more than lots of texture and rustic touches!
Of course, there must be lambs! I love this little one with a vintage look and lots of rough texture!
It wouldn’t be spring without tulips! I wrapped the pot in Kraft paper sheet music for an extra rustic touch.
I love moss but I can’t bring it in because it’s just too tempting for my feline staff! lol Sooo…a faux moss ball perched in a little vintage urn will have to do!
Eggs are another necessary spring element so I added a little nest of them in pale blue to the base of…
…my crazy amaryllis which has decided to bloom in the spring instead of its usual Christmas time display!
Corral it all in a big textured basket-y tray and there you have the centerpiece… saying that spring has arrived!
Here’s another angle so that you can see my monster amaryllis…Feed me, Seymour! lol Even its little offshoot is blooming! In the background you can see some of my treasures…my vintage Quimper pottery collection!
A few spring surprises are hiding among them…such as this little basket of pastel eggs…
…and a few more eggs nestled in my favorite egg cups…a souvenir of my visit to the HB Henriot factory in Quimper, France. You can get a closer look at my collection HERE.
A little vintage chalkware lamb also takes his place among the pottery. Gotta love that little face!
And here’s another look! I am loving the way my favorites came together… galvanized metal, vintage-look elements and lots of green! Now I feel like spring has finally arrived at my house!

Debbie, the vignette is beautiful...I so love seeing your beautiful collection of Quimper. And, yes, Seymour is huge...I remember buying my very first amaryllis when I was in Florida...after Christmas I placed it on the bottom shelf of the potting bench and forgot about it...all of a sudden I am seeing something red peeking through the pots...it was blooming...and I had totally neglected it...maybe I need to do that will all my plants!..:)

ReplyDeleteI love your Spring decorations! I have amassed quite a collection of amaryllis' myself and actually plant them in my garden. I live. In Zone 7 and have been quite fortunate to have them rebloom year after year, although always in the summer-time. :)
