Transitioning into Fall...Apple and Bittersweet Wreath

Yaay! It’s almost September 1st and that’s when I’m calling it fall…even though it will still be hot and humid here. It’s my favorite season and I need to get a head start on my crafting! Sooo…I created this transitional fall wreath with green apples as a little bit of early fall and bittersweet as a hint of what is to come. It’s a little early yet for full blown pumpkin time even for me! ;-)

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Transitioning into Fall...Apple and Bittersweet Wreath tutorialIt’s super easy and didn’t cost a lot since I reworked an existing wreath form and added some fall florals that were in my stash. I just spent $5.00 for the green apples at Dollar Tree.
Here’s what you will need:
  • Grapevine wreath
  • Faux leaves and berries of your choice
  • Pine cones
  • Faux green apples
  • Hot glue gun
  • Jute twine
And here’s what you will do:
  1. Position the apples and pine cones and hot glue them in place
  2. Add the leaves and hot glue them
  3. Fill in with the berries
  4. Fluff the wreath by adding additional leaves as needed to fill bare spots. Tie a loop with a piece of jute twine for hanging.
And taaa daaa…here it is! I love the bright, contrasting colors…

  13. Debbie,
A beautiful wreath! Your instructions are great, too. But, way too early for north Texas. Fall won't arrive here for weeks yet. :) I'll have to reread this in late September.
