Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving TablescapeIt’s only a couple of weeks until my favorite holiday will be here! Yes, Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I have my table all ready to show you! It stars all of my favorite elements…galvanized metals alongside pewter with lots of texture and rustic natural elements!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Fall Mantel I am continuing the theme that I started with my farmhouse fall mantel that is filled with more of the same elements. You can get a better look at it here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape And here it is! I love the simplicity…not too much fuss and lots of texture! At the heart of it all is my rustic galvanized tool box, a favorite $20 find from an antique festival last year.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Christmas TablescapeIf it looks familiar, that’s because it was the star of my farmhouse Christmas tablescape last year, filled with chunky candles wrapped in vintage upholstery webbing, frosted magnolia leaves and berries. You can see more of it here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving TablescapeHere’s a closer look at the toolbox. I his time I have filled it with a fall leaf garland topped with faux bittersweet, pumpkins and pine cones. Simple cream taper candles add warmth.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape I have to say that I love this guy! He has such a wonderful patina and lots of character from years of use!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape And…he’s the perfect complement to my Gorham Octette pewter goblets and flatware! I love those big, chunky handles! They just say farmhouse to me! And to add even more texture, I am using grapevine wreaths as chargers...fun!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving TablescapeThe plates are some of my favorites…Felice by Chris Madden…a fabulous Goodwill find at $10 for a service for four…perfect for our small family! Simple fall leaves serve as place cards.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape At either end of the tool box is a pewter candlestick, more of my Octette, wrapped in a bit of bittersweet. My burlap table runner serves as the base for the centerpiece.

There’s still plenty of time if you would like to make your own! You will find a detailed tutorial for my ruffled burlap table runner here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Farmhouse Thanksgiving TablescapeAnd here’s a final look at my farmhouse Thanksgiving tablescape…just the perfect amount of texture and rustic elements with no fuss for my small family gathering! The “big people” will be sitting at this table…

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT No-Sew Thanksgiving Placemat and Napkin Ring …and the “little people” will have their own table next to us and their own special tablescape with the no-sew turkey placemats and pilgrim hat napkin rings that I have made! You will find the instructions for making them here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Thanksgiving Inspiration And here’s even more Thanksgiving inspiration for you…with a look at my Thanksgiving tablescapes over the past few years!

Baby Kitty says this is his favorite time of year, too, when he is very much in vogue…with orange layered on white! And…the turkey giblets are not bad, either!

  2. Just beautiful Debbie, can I come to your house? I won't eat...I'll just admire you decor and drool, so give me a napkin. Where did you get that awesome tool box?

  3. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this tablescape!! Every element. Your centerpiece is breathtaking, and now I'm going to be hunting for a galvanized toolbox (I'm still hunting for a long, skinny wooden one!) I'll be using your idea of the fall leaf placecards (thank you very much!). It is all so very warm, welcoming and just sings, "Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner!" Bravo, Debbie!

  6. Debbie, this is such a beautiful table! I love the farmhouse look and the centerpiece is really perfect. It's great how you show using the same item several different ways each year. The grapevine wreaths make amazing chargers. It will be a small Thanksgiving this year with only three of us, but Christmas will see the whole family gather! Baby Kitty is always in style!
    hugs,
    Linda
