Fun Ideas for Valentine's Day

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Fun Valentine IdeasValentine’s Day will be here in a little over a month so I thought I would share some of my Valentine projects to give you a head start! You will notice that several of them are pillows…I seem to be addicted!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pottery Barn Inspired Valentine PillowThis Pottery Barn inspired French Valentine pillow is my favorite…and I have even included the free graphic for you!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Pottery Barn Inspired French LOVE Pillow Here’s another…my Pottery Barn inspired LOVE pillow…with the letters for the word LOVE spelled in four fun and different fonts! If you would like to try your hand at this one, you will find the tutorial here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Vintage French Valentine PillowHere’s my vintage French Valentine pillow in one of my favorite combinations…ticking and toile! As always, I have included the free graphic with the tutorial.

Baby KittyOf course, I owe my inspiration to my co-host Baby Kitty who reminded me that I had some old French ticking drapery panels and toile fabric in my stash. You are going to see these fabrics again in another project in just a minute!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT French Script Valentine Candles This one is probably the easiest and least expensive of my Valentine projects…my French script Valentine candles…using Dollar Tree vases and the free graphics that are included here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Rustic French Valentine CenterpieceI love my chippy box…such a great way to display some seasonal favorites! Here it is with my shabby French Valentine centerpiece…filled with more of the ticking and toile that I promised you in the form of little heart pillows! I was so excited when I took this photo to discover that I had unknowingly captured the Blue Hour in the window! You will find a link that explains it and see more here.

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Valentine Chalkboard Greeting And here are more of those ticking and toile hearts alongside my super-easy chalkboard silver tray!

CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT Ironstone and TulipsAnd finally, if you want a little bit more subtle look, here’s my ironstone and tulips centerpiece…a mere suggestion of the arrival of Valentine’s Day!
And just in case that isn’t enough Valentine’s Day for you…just stay tuned! I have some more fun and easy projects planned for you, including…guess what…another pillow! lol Soon I will have to change the name of my blog to Confessions of a Pillow Addict!

  3. Debbie, I always admire your zest for new projects, and pillows are a bit of an addiction here too. When I packed up all my Christmas pillows this year I had to go buy a second bin. They have multiplied! Your post is inspiring me to pull out some Valentine pillows to start enjoying. '-)
